Unlock Explosive Speed with Punahou's K-Player Drill

๐Ÿ“ Punahou BuffanbluยทSunday, July 5, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At Open programs like Punahou Buffanblu, developing explosive speed is crucial for K-players to outmaneuver opponents on the gridiron. One effective drill to achieve this is the 'Resistance Band Shuttle.' Set up two cones 10 yards apart, with a resistance band anchored to a stable object and the other end attached to the player's waist. Have the player start in a 3-point stance, then explosively shuttle between cones, maintaining proper footwork and hip rotation. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, resting for 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues include 'drive through the band' and 'explode out of the hole.' This drill translates to game performance by improving acceleration, agility, and power. By incorporating the Resistance Band Shuttle into your training regimen, K-players can gain a competitive edge and dominate on the field.
