Isaiah Thomas Commits to Iowa State
Kahuku Red Raiders cornerback Isaiah Thomas has committed to Iowa State University. The Class of 2025 standout chose the Cyclones over other Power Five offers. Thomas cited Iowa State's 3-3-5 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, noting it aligns with his strengths as a cover corner. He also praised the Cyclones' depth chart, stating he sees an opportunity to contribute immediately. Academically, Thomas was drawn to Iowa State's strong engineering program, which he plans to pursue. Thomas initially committed to the University of Oregon in 2023 but decommitted in June 2024 to reopen his recruitment. He has since visited Iowa State multiple times, including a recent unofficial visit in June. Thomas is expected to enroll early at Iowa State in January 2025. His commitment adds to the Cyclones' strong 2025 recruiting class.
