Unlock Speed and Agility: DE Drill for Mililani Trojans Open Program
The Mililani Trojans DEs are gearing up for a dominant season, and we've got a key drill to add to their summer camp training. Introducing the 'Shuttle Shuffle' drill, designed to improve speed, agility, and reaction time. Set up three cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. DEs will start at the first cone, then shuffle to the second cone, and finally sprint to the third cone. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps, resting 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues: 'Keep your feet low and quick, eyes on the next cone, and drive through the finish.' This drill translates to game performance by enhancing the DE's ability to quickly change direction and pursue the quarterback. By incorporating the Shuttle Shuffle drill into their training, the Trojans DEs will be unstoppable on the field.
