FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Kamehameha Warriors RB Drill
This summer, Kamehameha Warriors running backs are honing their skills with a critical drill that translates to game-day performance. The 'Power Through Contact' drill focuses on explosive acceleration and ball security. Set up a 10-yard course with two cones 5 yards apart. Players start at the first cone, then sprint to the second cone while maintaining a high running back stance. Upon reaching the second cone, they immediately drop their hips and drive through a defender (or pad) attempting to tackle them. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps. Coaching cues: 'Keep your eyes up and your shoulders down.' 'Drive through the contact point.' This drill simulates game scenarios where RBs must break tackles and maintain possession. By mastering this drill, Kamehameha Warriors RBs will be ready to take on the toughest competition this season.
