Clemson has extended an offer to Class of 2025 defensive end Marcus Thomas of Iowa City West High School. Thomas, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect, has drawn interest from several top programs. He has also received offers from Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota. On the field, Thomas recorded 64 tackles, 17 sacks and 3 forced fumbles as a sophomore. He is expected to be a key contributor for the 4A Iowa City West Trojans this fall. Thomas is considered one of the top defensive linemen in the state of Iowa and is expected to be a major recruitment target for several Big Ten programs. Thomas plans to attend Iowa's summer camp in July and will likely begin narrowing down his recruitment timeline in the coming months.
