The Iowa City West Trojans are known for producing elite athletes, and this summer, a multisport standout is shifting her focus to flag football in pursuit of college opportunities. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, the Trojans' star athlete is eyeing a spot on the Cornhuskers' roster. Nebraska offers a Power 4 program, and its flag football team will compete in the Big Ten. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are also on the radar, offering up to 12 scholarships and an active recruiting presence. Midland University, Nebraska, is another NAIA powerhouse with a strong flag football program. As the Trojans' star athlete prepares for the upcoming season, she's taking concrete steps to make her college dreams a reality.
