Cedar Falls Girls Flag Football Prospects Eye Nebraska's 2028 Inaugural Season

๐Ÿ“ Cedar Falls TigersยทFriday, July 3, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural girls flag football season in 2028, prospects from the Cedar Falls Tigers are taking notice. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers are set to join the Big Ten Conference. For Cedar Falls athletes seeking NCAA Division 1 opportunities, Nebraska's entry into the Power 4 ranks is a significant development. While the program has yet to announce scholarship numbers, it's likely to attract top talent from across the state. Local players can increase their chances by attending Nebraska's summer camps and staying in touch with the coaching staff. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, offer verified scholarship programs for girls flag football. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter in the region. UT Arlington is developing its program, but scholarships have not yet been announced.
