Cedar Falls Tigers Flag Football Recruits Tap into New Scholarship Opportunities
The Cedar Falls Tigers girls flag football team is eyeing a promising future, thanks in part to the IHSAA's pilot district expansion in Texas. As the sport continues to grow, athletes are now presented with more scholarship options. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural NCAA D1 flag football program in 2028, offering scholarships to top talent. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have established NAIA programs with up to 12 scholarships available. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter in the NAIA. While UT Arlington's D1 program is still in development, athletes can begin preparing for potential opportunities. Recruits should research and reach out to these verified programs to explore their eligibility and scholarship possibilities.
