Cedar Falls S Darius Young Commits to UTSA
Darius Young, a senior safety from Cedar Falls High School, has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Young, a Class of 2026 prospect, chose the Roadrunners over other Division I offers. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back excels in the Tigers' 3-5 defense, showcasing his versatility in coverage and run support. Young's commitment to UTSA provides an opportunity to contribute immediately, as the Roadrunners return just two starters in the secondary. The Cedar Falls native will also benefit from UTSA's strong academic programs, including the university's renowned business and engineering schools. Young previously held a commitment to Iowa State but decommitted in April, citing a desire to explore other options. He will join a UTSA secondary that is expected to be a strength of the team in 2026.
