Trevon Walker Commits to Iowa State
Trevon Walker, a 4A quarterback from West Des Moines Valley, has committed to Iowa State University. Walker, a Class of 2027 prospect, chose the Cyclones over other Division I offers. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal-caller is expected to fit into Iowa State's spread offense, which aligns with his dual-threat abilities. Walker's commitment fills a need at quarterback for the Cyclones, who have a relatively thin depth chart at the position. Iowa State's academic program, which offers a strong engineering curriculum, also appealed to Walker. He holds a 3.5 GPA and scored 1,030 on the PSAT. Walker decommitted from Iowa State in March but re-committed after a recent visit to campus. He is expected to be a top backup or potentially start in his freshman season.
