Flyer Frenzy: East St. Louis QBs Unleash Their Arm in Pre-Season Drills

๐Ÿ“ East St. Louis FlyersยทSunday, July 12, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

In preparation for the upcoming 6A season, East St. Louis Flyers quarterbacks are putting in the work with a high-intensity drill designed to improve their accuracy and arm strength. The 'Flyer Frenzy' drill consists of three sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest period between sets. Coaches will have QBs stand 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage, with a target 5 yards deep. On the whistle, QBs will drop back and fire a pass to the target, focusing on proper footwork and follow-through. Coaching cues include 'eyes on the target' and 'snap the wrist.' This drill translates to game performance by improving QBs' ability to read defenses and deliver the ball quickly and accurately, a crucial skill for success in the 6A playoffs.
