Set up five cones in a zigzag pattern, 5 yards apart. Have the QB start at the first cone and perform a 3-step drop. From the third cone, they must release a pass to a target (receiver or coach) 10 yards away. Focus on a quick release, keeping the elbow at a 90-degree angle and following through. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, resting 30 seconds between sets. This drill translates to game performance by forcing the QB to make quick decisions and release the ball before being hit or pressured. It also improves accuracy and ball placement.
