Darius Thomas Commits to Baylor
Westfield Shamrocks offensive lineman Darius Thomas has committed to Baylor University. The Class of 2025 standout made the decision after a thorough evaluation of the Bears' scheme and depth chart opportunities. Thomas, a 5A prospect, believes Baylor's pro-style offense aligns with his skills and playing style. He also cited the university's strong academic program and resources as key factors in his decision. Thomas will have the opportunity to compete for a starting spot on the line immediately, given Baylor's graduation losses from last season. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound lineman was previously committed to Indiana but reopened his recruitment in April. Thomas' commitment is a significant addition to Baylor's 2025 recruiting class, which is expected to be one of the top classes in the Big 12. Thomas will officially sign with Baylor in the coming weeks.
