Warren Central Breaks Ground on $1M Facility Upgrade
Warren Central High School's football program officially broke ground on a $1 million facility upgrade Friday, a move expected to significantly impact the team's recruiting and competitiveness in the highly competitive 6A Indianapolis market. The Warriors finished last season with a 7-4 record, narrowly missing the postseason. The new facility will feature state-of-the-art locker rooms, weight training equipment and a renovated field house. Program officials expect the upgrade to attract top talent from the region and give the Warriors a much-needed edge in a crowded 6A field. The upgrade is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2026 season, with head coach Mike Kirschner citing the new facility as a major factor in the team's offseason preparation.
