Warrior QBs: Mastering the 'Read and React' Drill

๐Ÿ“ Warren Central WarriorsยทSunday, July 12, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the 2026 season approaches, Warren Central Warriors' quarterback prospects are gearing up for a strong year. One key drill to focus on is the 'Read and React' exercise. This dynamic drill helps QBs develop their ability to read defenses and react quickly. To run the drill, set up a 7-on-7 scenario with a QB, WR, and 5 defenders. The QB will receive a snap and read the defense, then react accordingly. Coaches should emphasize 'eyes on the defender' and 'quick release' as key cues. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds of rest between sets. This drill translates to game performance by allowing QBs to develop muscle memory in reading and reacting to different defensive looks. By mastering this drill, Warrior QBs will be better equipped to lead their team to victory.
