Blue Valley Northwest Huskies Girls Flag Football Athletes Eye New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Blue Valley Northwest HuskiesยทThursday, July 9, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the KSHSAA flag football pilot program expands into new districts, Blue Valley Northwest Huskies girls flag football athletes are eyeing new scholarship opportunities. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, is a top destination for top talent. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers are offering scholarships to elite flag football players. Other verified scholarship programs include Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter in the NAIA Sun Conference. Midland University, Nebraska, is also actively recruiting flag football players. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, is not yet offering scholarships. Huskies athletes can take concrete steps to pursue these opportunities by attending summer camps and showcases, and by reaching out to college coaches directly.
