Derby Panthers LB Darius Wilson Commits to Kansas State
Derby Panthers linebacker Darius Wilson has committed to Kansas State University, the Wildcats announced Thursday. Wilson, a Class of 2027 prospect, chose Kansas State over other Power Five offers from Baylor and Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Wilson is expected to fit seamlessly into the Wildcats' 4-2-5 defense, which emphasizes speed and athleticism. Kansas State's depth chart at linebacker is expected to be a competition this fall, and Wilson's commitment provides a boost to the Wildcats' recruiting class. Academically, Wilson is drawn to Kansas State's strong programs in business and engineering. Wilson had previously committed to Kansas State in 2024 but reopened his recruitment in January 2026.
