Derby Panthers' Multisport Star Eyes Flag Football Scholarships
The Derby Panthers' athletic program has produced numerous talented multisport athletes, and one standout is now setting her sights on flag football scholarships. With the inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, the University of Nebraska's Power 4 program under coaches Liz and Katie Sowers is a prime target for the area's top female athletes. The Panthers' multisport star has already been in contact with the Ottawa University, Kansas, coaching staff, which offers up to 12 NAIA flag football scholarships. Additionally, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, have also expressed interest in recruiting the talented athlete. To secure a spot on one of these rosters, the Derby Panthers' star must continue to hone her skills through summer camps and highlight tapes.
