Jalen Jackson Commits to Arkansas Razorbacks
Lawrence Free State Firebirds running back Jalen Jackson has committed to the University of Arkansas, joining the Razorbacks' Class of 2027 recruiting class. Standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 190 pounds, Jackson is a versatile back with a strong combination of speed and power. He averaged 8.5 yards per carry in his sophomore season, rushing for 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns. The 6A Firebirds' backfield is expected to feature a mix of zone and power blocking schemes, which aligns with Arkansas' running game philosophy. Jackson projects to compete for a backup role behind the Razorbacks' projected starting running back, with opportunities to contribute on special teams. The University of Arkansas offers a strong academic program, with a graduation rate of 84% among student-athletes. Jackson was previously committed to Kansas State, but reopened his recruitment in April.
