Covington Catholic Colonels safety Devon Brown, a Class of 2026 prospect, has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete chose UTSA over other Division I offers, citing the Roadrunners' defensive scheme and depth chart opportunity as key factors in his decision. Brown is expected to compete for a starting role in the secondary, where he can utilize his ball-hawking skills in a system that emphasizes aggressive playmaking. The Colonels' standout also praised UTSA's academic program, noting the university's strong reputation for providing student-athletes with a well-rounded education. Brown previously held offers from several other Power Five programs, but decommitted from a Big 12 school in February to focus on his recruitment at UTSA. He is expected to enroll in the fall of 2027 and join the Roadrunners for the 2028 season.
