Trevon Taylor Commits to Texas Tech
Covington Catholic Colonels quarterback Trevon Taylor has committed to Texas Tech. The Class of 2025 signal-caller chose the Red Raiders over offers from Louisville, Kentucky and Cincinnati. Taylor's decision was influenced by Texas Tech's Air Raid offense, which aligns with his skillset. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound quarterback is expected to compete for a spot on the depth chart behind returning starter Tyler Shough. Additionally, Taylor was drawn to the university's strong academic programs, including its renowned engineering department. Taylor had previously committed to Louisville but decommitted in April. He will join a Texas Tech program that is rebuilding its quarterback room after the departure of several key players. Taylor's commitment adds depth to the Red Raiders' 2025 recruiting class.
