Covington Catholic LB Cameron Brown Commits to Houston

πŸ“ Covington Catholic ColonelsΒ·Sunday, July 5, 2026Β·FridayNightPulse Insider

Covington Catholic Colonels linebacker Cameron Brown has committed to play for the University of Houston. Brown, a Class of 2027 standout, chose the Cougars over other top programs. The 5-foot-11, 220-pound prospect is expected to fill a need at linebacker for Houston, which runs a 3-4 scheme. Brown’s athleticism and instincts make him a good fit for the position. He will have the opportunity to compete for a starting role immediately, as the Cougars are looking to replace several departing linebackers. The University of Houston’s strong academic program was also a factor in Brown’s decision. Brown had previously committed to another program, but reopened his recruitment in April. He is considered one of the top linebacker prospects in the Class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky.
