Improving Kicking Distance for Boyle County Rebels

๐Ÿ“ Boyle County RebelsยทSaturday, July 11, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Boyle County Rebels 4A football team is looking to improve their kicking game this season. One key drill to focus on is the 'Step-Through' approach. This drill involves the kicker standing 10 yards back from the ball, taking a small step forward with their non-kicking foot, and then kicking the ball. The kicker should aim to make contact with the laces and focus on generating power from their legs. Sets: 3 sets of 10 reps. Coaching cues: 'Step through the ball' and 'Lace it up.' This drill translates to game performance by improving the kicker's ability to generate power and accuracy on longer field goals. By incorporating this drill into their summer training, the Rebels can gain a competitive edge in the 4A division.
