St. Xavier Tigers' Flag Football Talent Poised for National Opportunities
As the KHSAA flag football pilot district expansion creates new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes, the St. Xavier Tigers are capitalizing on the growing interest in the sport. With several Division 1 and NAIA programs actively recruiting, Tigers' flag football players have a unique chance to secure scholarships. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural 2028 season with Power 4 status. Ottawa University, Kansas, offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships, while Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA D1 program, is expected to offer scholarships in the near future. St. Xavier's flag football talent is well-positioned to take advantage of these emerging opportunities.
