Trevon Jackson Commits to Houston Cougars
St. Xavier Tigers safety Trevon Jackson has committed to play for the University of Houston Cougars. The Class of 2025 standout selected Houston over other Power Five offers from the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. Jackson cited the Cougars' aggressive defensive scheme and the opportunity to compete for a starting spot as key factors in his decision. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety also praised Houston's strong academic program, which aligns with his academic goals. Jackson had previously decommitted from the University of Louisville in April after visiting the campus. He is expected to enroll in the spring of 2025 and participate in the Cougars' spring drills. The Tigers' safety is considered one of the top prospects in the state of Kentucky for the Class of 2025.
