Covington Catholic QB Hunter Thompson Commits to TCU
Hunter Thompson, the Class of 2025 quarterback from Covington Catholic High School, has committed to play for the TCU Horned Frogs. The 5A Colonels standout joins the Horned Frogs' program after a successful summer camp circuit. Thompson's commitment comes after a thorough evaluation of the Horned Frogs' offense, which aligns with his skillset. He is expected to compete for the backup quarterback position behind starter Max Abbott. TCU's academic program, which boasts a strong engineering department, also factored into Thompson's decision. The Covington Catholic product holds a 3.8 GPA and is a National Honor Society member. Thompson previously held offers from Louisville, Kentucky and Cincinnati, but ultimately chose TCU for its ideal fit. He is expected to enroll in January 2025, allowing him to participate in spring practice.
