Edna Karr Cougars Break Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade

The Edna Karr Cougars, a 4A program from New Orleans, have officially broken ground on a $3 million facility upgrade. The project, set to be completed by the start of the 2026 season, will feature state-of-the-art locker rooms, a renovated weight room and a new turf field. The upgrade comes on the heels of a 5-6 record last season, in which the Cougars narrowly missed the playoffs. The new facilities are expected to give the program a competitive edge in recruiting, particularly in attracting top talent from the city. With the upgrade, the Cougars are poised to make a push for the playoffs in the highly competitive 4A division of the LHSAA.
