Cameron White Commits to SMU
St. Augustine Purple Knights cornerback Cameron White, a Class of 2027 prospect, has committed to play for the Southern Methodist University Mustangs. White, a 4A standout, chose SMU for its defensive scheme, which aligns with his aggressive playing style. The Mustangs' secondary depth chart presents an opportunity for White to contribute immediately, potentially as a nickelback or outside corner. SMU's strong academic program, with a 95% graduation rate, also appealed to White, who maintains a 3.5 GPA. White previously held offers from Louisiana Tech and Tulane, but SMU's coaching staff and the opportunity to play in the American Athletic Conference ultimately won him over.
