Tyler Harris Commits to Texas Tech
Catholic Memorial running back Tyler Harris has committed to Texas Tech University. Harris, a Class of 2025 standout, chose the Red Raiders over offers from Boston College, Buffalo and UMass. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound back is expected to fit seamlessly into Texas Tech's high-powered offense, which averages over 40 points per game. Harris's commitment comes after a productive summer camp session, where he showcased his speed and elusiveness. He is expected to compete for a starting role in the Red Raiders' backfield. Texas Tech's strong academic program, which offers a range of business and engineering courses, also played a factor in Harris's decision. Harris initially committed to UConn in 2022 but decommitted in 2023 to explore other options. He is the first commitment for Texas Tech's 2025 recruiting class.
