St. Frances Academy Panthers S Players: Master the 'Shuttle S' Drill

๐Ÿ“ St. Frances Academy PanthersยทFriday, July 3, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, MIAA S players at St. Frances Academy Panthers can improve their speed and agility with the 'Shuttle S' drill. Set up two cones 10 yards apart, with a third cone 5 yards behind the second one. Players start at the first cone, then sprint to the second cone, backpedal to the third cone, and finally, shuttle back to the first cone. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps. Coaching cues: 'Fast feet, quick turns,' and 'Change direction quickly.' This drill translates to game performance by improving reaction time and allowing S players to quickly close gaps and make tackles. It also enhances their ability to read and react to plays, making them more effective in the secondary.
