DeMatha Catholic Breaks Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade
DeMatha Catholic High School's football program has officially broken ground on a $3 million facility upgrade, a move expected to elevate the Stags' competitive standing in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. The Stags, a perennial powerhouse, have claimed 12 WCAC championships since 2000 and boast a 2022 record of 10-2. The facility upgrade will provide state-of-the-art amenities, including a renovated weight room, upgraded locker facilities and improved field conditions. The project is expected to be completed by the start of the 2026 season, giving the Stags a significant recruiting edge in the region. The upgrade is seen as a major investment in the program's future, positioning DeMatha Catholic for continued success in the WCAC and beyond.
