Quince Orchard Breaks Ground on $2M Facility Upgrade

The Quince Orchard Cougars, a perennial powerhouse in 4A Maryland high school football, are set to begin a new era with a state-of-the-art facility upgrade. The $2 million project, which includes a renovated weight room, upgraded locker rooms and a new turf field, is expected to be completed in time for the start of the season. The Cougars, who have won three state championships since 2011, will look to build on their recent success with a strong recruiting class that features several top prospects from the Washington D.C. area. The upgraded facilities are expected to give the Cougars a competitive edge in the Montgomery County 4A division, where they will face off against perennial contenders like Gaithersburg and Seneca Valley.
