Stags Flag Prospects Eye NAIA Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Cheverus StagsยทWednesday, July 15, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Portland's Cheverus Stags flag football program is gearing up for the inaugural 2028 season, and several local prospects are eyeing NAIA opportunities. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are verified scholarship programs that offer up to 12 and an unspecified number of scholarships, respectively. Coaches at both institutions are actively recruiting top talent. For local flag prospects, attending a camp at either Ottawa University or Keiser University can be a valuable step in getting noticed. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska are also building a Power 5 program, but it's not yet offering scholarships. UT Arlington's developing NCAA D1 program is also worth monitoring. Stags flag prospects who attend a camp at Ottawa University or Keiser University can gain exposure and potentially secure a scholarship.
