Carson Taylor Commits to UTSA

Bangor Rams safety Carson Taylor has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for the class of 2026. Taylor, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect, chose the Roadrunners due to their aggressive defensive scheme, which aligns with his playing style. He also cited the opportunity to compete for a starting spot in the secondary, as well as UTSA's strong academic programs in kinesiology and business. Taylor previously considered offers from Maine and New Hampshire, but ultimately decided on UTSA after visiting the campus in June. The Bangor Rams standout was a second-team all-state selection in 2025, recording 75 tackles and four interceptions. Taylor's commitment brings the total number of UTSA commits from Maine to three.
