Pivoting to Flag Football: Muskegon Big Reds' Athlete Sees College Opportunity
Multisport standout Emily Wilson, a rising senior at Muskegon High School, is shifting her focus to girls flag football as she explores college scholarship opportunities. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, Wilson is eyeing the Big Ten program's 12 scholarships. The Big Reds' star athlete has also received attention from Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting Wilson. As UT Arlington develops its NCAA D1 program, Wilson is advised to monitor the school's progress. To increase her chances, Wilson is encouraged to create a highlight tape showcasing her skills and submit it to the aforementioned programs. By doing so, she can position herself for a potential scholarship in the growing world of girls flag football.
