Jayden Allen Commits to UTSA
Warren De La Salle Pilots quarterback Jayden Allen has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio, the school announced Thursday. Allen, a Class of 2027 prospect, chose UTSA over other Division I offers. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound signal-caller will join a Roadrunners program that runs a similar spread offense, utilizing his skills as a dual-threat quarterback. Allen projects to compete for a spot on the depth chart, potentially backing up returning starter, but also has the opportunity to earn significant playing time. UTSA's academic program, offering a range of engineering and business courses, was also a factor in Allen's decision. Allen previously held offers from several other Division I programs, but UTSA's coaching staff and scheme ultimately won him over. He plans to sign with the school during the early signing period in November.
