As the inaugural 2028 season of NCAA D1 flag football approaches, local athletes are turning their attention to NAIA programs that offer verified scholarship pathways. For Traverse City Central's flag prospects, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are emerging as top destinations. Ottawa University, a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships available, will host a camp this summer, while Keiser University is actively recruiting in the region. Midland University, Nebraska, another NAIA program with a strong presence in the Midwest, is also worth considering. Local athletes interested in exploring these opportunities are encouraged to reach out to the respective coaches to learn more about their camps and recruitment processes.
