Carson Robinson Commits to Iowa State
Lakeville North Panthers defensive end Carson Robinson has committed to play football at Iowa State University. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound senior is a member of the Class of 2025. Robinson's commitment comes after a summer of intense recruitment, during which he also considered several other Power Five programs. The Lakeville, Minnesota native cited Iowa State's 3-4 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, noting that it aligns with his strengths as a pass-rusher. With the Cyclones set to return several key defenders from last season, Robinson believes he has a good opportunity to contribute early in his career. Academically, Robinson was drawn to Iowa State's strong engineering program, which he plans to pursue after graduating from high school. He previously decommitted from the University of Minnesota in April, but ultimately decided that Iowa State was the best fit for him.
