Area Multisport Athlete Pursues Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities
Rockhurst Hawklets' standout athlete, Emily Wilson, is transitioning to girls flag football as she seeks NCAA and NAIA scholarship opportunities. With the inaugural 2028 season of the University of Nebraska's Power 5 flag football program on the horizon, Wilson is eyeing the Big Ten school's 12 scholarships. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are actively recruiting top talent. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are national powerhouses offering up to 12 and unspecified scholarships, respectively. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter.
