As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, prospects from the Olive Branch Conquistadors are taking notice. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are building a powerhouse program, and the Cornhuskers are expected to be a major player in the Big Ten. For Conquistadors flag football standouts, this means new opportunities for scholarships and exposure. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships, is another top option. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters. While UT Arlington's NCAA Division 1 program is still in development, prospects can start preparing for the 2028 season by attending summer camps and creating highlight tapes.
