Madison Central Jaguars' standout athlete, Emily Wilson, is making a name for herself in multiple sports, but her sights are set on flag football for college opportunities. With the inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, top programs are taking notice. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is one such powerhouse. Wilson is exploring scholarship options at Nebraska, as well as Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, is keeping a close eye on Wilson's progress. To take advantage of these opportunities, Wilson is attending summer camps and working on her technique. She encourages other multisport athletes to do the same, as the competition for flag football scholarships will be fierce.
