Jayden Johnson Commits to Army Football
West Point Green Wave cornerback Jayden Johnson has committed to play for the Army Black Knights, the school announced Wednesday. Johnson, a 5A standout in the Class of 2025, cited Army's aggressive 3-4 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision. The Green Wave's depth chart at cornerback is expected to be competitive this season, but Johnson believes Army's system will allow him to thrive. Johnson also praised Army's academic program, which is consistently ranked among the nation's top military academies. Johnson had previously committed to another school, but decommitted in March after reevaluating his options. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound cornerback is considered one of the top prospects in the state, with a 4.5-second 40-yard dash time and 4.2 GPA.
