Devon Williams Commits to TCU
Starkville Yellow Jackets cornerback Devon Williams has committed to attend Texas Christian University. The Class of 2025 standout made the decision after a thorough evaluation of his options. Williams chose TCU for its athletic fit, as he believes the Horned Frogs' defensive scheme will allow him to showcase his skills. He also cited the program's depth chart opportunity, noting that he will have a chance to contribute immediately. Additionally, Williams was drawn to TCU's academic program, which he believes will provide him with a well-rounded education. Williams previously committed to Alabama in 2023 but reopened his recruitment in January 2026. TCU's strong defensive tradition and coaching staff played a significant role in his decision-making process. Williams is expected to enroll at TCU in January 2027 and participate in spring practice. His commitment adds to the Horned Frogs' growing 2025 recruiting class.
