Jayden Thompson Commits to Navy Football Program
Madison Central Jaguars defensive end Jayden Thompson has committed to the United States Naval Academy football program. The Class of 2026 standout chose Navy due to the Midshipmen's 3-4 defensive scheme, which aligns with his athletic abilities. Thompson's commitment also takes into account the depth chart opportunity at Navy, where he is expected to compete for a starting position. Additionally, the Naval Academy's strong academic program and commitment to developing well-rounded individuals were key factors in his decision. Thompson had previously considered offers from several other Division I programs, but ultimately chose Navy for its unique blend of athletic and academic opportunities. The Jaguars will look to replace Thompson's production on the defensive line this season.
