As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 girls flag football program in 2028, Butte Bulldogs prospects are taking note. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers will compete in the Big Ten Conference. For Butte's top talent, this development presents a prime opportunity to secure a Power 5 scholarship. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, also offer NAIA flag football scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is an active recruiter in the region. Butte athletes interested in pursuing flag football scholarships should focus on developing their skills through summer camps and highlight tapes. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers will be scouting top talent in the lead-up to the 2028 season.
