Sentinel Spartans Name New Defensive Coordinator

Missoula Sentinel High School has promoted assistant coach Ryan Thompson to defensive coordinator. Thompson has spent five seasons developing talent with the Spartans, helping the team to a 24-12 record over the past three years, including a 2024 Class AA state playoff appearance. The Spartans return 15 starters from last year's squad, and Thompson's elevation is seen as a key factor in the team's competitiveness in the upcoming season. Recruiting efforts are also expected to be bolstered by Thompson's increased role, as he will be responsible for coordinating the team's defensive strategy and developing game plans. The Spartans are looking to build on their recent success and make a deep run in the Class AA playoffs this fall.
