Bison Flag Football Recruits Look to Capitalize on MHSA Expansion
As the University Interscholastic League's flag football pilot district expansion gains momentum, athletes from the Great Falls Bison and other Texas teams are taking notice of the growing scholarship opportunities. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028, is a major draw for top talent. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are actively recruiting, with a focus on developing a strong roster. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse in NAIA flag football, offers up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting. Meanwhile, UT Arlington is developing its program, with a focus on becoming a major player in the sport.
