Grimsley Whirlies Break Ground on $2M Facility Upgrade

The Grimsley Whirlies, a 4A program from Greensboro, North Carolina, officially broke ground on a $2 million facility upgrade Friday. The project, set to be completed by August, will feature a renovated locker room, expanded weight room and a state-of-the-art video analysis room. The upgrade comes as the Whirlies look to build on a 5-6 record from last season. The program has been actively recruiting top talent from the region, including highly touted quarterback prospect, Tyler Wilson, who has already committed to play for the Whirlies. The facility upgrade is expected to give the Whirlies a competitive edge in the Piedmont Triad 4A Conference, where they will face off against perennial powerhouses, Page and Ragsdale.
