Deacons DE Darius Walker Commits to Houston Cougars
Fargo Shanley senior defensive end Darius Walker has committed to play football at the University of Houston. Walker, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound Class of 2025 prospect, chose the Cougars over offers from several other Power Five programs. The Deacons' standout pass rusher cited Houston's defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, noting that it aligns with his strengths as a player. Walker also praised the Cougars' depth chart, stating that he sees an opportunity to contribute immediately. Additionally, he was impressed by Houston's academic programs, particularly its business school. Walker, who decommitted from the University of Minnesota in April, said he is looking forward to joining the Cougars' defensive line. He plans to sign with Houston during the early signing period in December.
