Tyler Thompson Commits to Baylor
Century Patriots kicker Tyler Thompson, a Class of 2027 standout, has committed to Baylor University. Thompson, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound specialist, chose the Bears due to the opportunity to develop in a high-powered offense. Baylor's scheme, which features a strong emphasis on field position, aligns with Thompson's strengths as a kicker. He also appreciates the depth chart opportunity, as the Bears are looking to replace departing kicker John Mayers. Additionally, Thompson is drawn to Baylor's academic program, which is consistently ranked among the nation's top universities. This marks Thompson's second commitment, as he previously pledged to Oklahoma before decommitting in May. With his strong leg and consistent accuracy, Thompson is expected to make an immediate impact in Waco.
